What’s new?

April 2012: Writing, writing, writing! Having wrestled my American-targeted plot to the ground, I’m now writing the new draft. The work has been helped immeasurably by the material I’m learning in a class on conflict taught by Susan Meier. Seriously, folks, if you ever get a chance to attend one of her talks or take one of her online classes, grab it!

Meanwhile, I’m chipping away at other projects, laying what I hope will be a strong foundation for them. Spring break for the offspring is over. The little snow we had is long gone. No one has been sick for at least two weeks ( a minor miracle). It’s time to settle into the longest chunk of the school year without a scheduled day off. Onward!

March 2012: A long string of assorted illnesses here at Casa Chaos delayed my updates, but we are finally all well and back into our regular routine. In between mopping fevered brows I’ve been tearing my proposed Harlequin American apart, developing a second one, and playing with a fun first-person story. The story riches are abounding!

February 2012: This month, I’ll be finishing the first draft of a new book aimed at Harlequin American. Then comes the fun part: ripping it apart, finding the real story that’s hiding somewhere in that mess, and making the plan for the new and exciting way I’ll put it back together.

My local chapter, Central NY Romance Writers, is gearing up for our annual mini-conference. This year we are hosting a great day with the inimitable Anne Stuart. Want to join us? Find all the info here.

I also signed up for a great online class on conflict  that will be taking place in April, led by the fabulous Susan Meier. Want to take part? You can find more details here.
